Knowledge and skill required for System Administrator / Assistant System Administrator (EDPC).

• Linux Administration, especially RHEL and Ubuntu Platforms.
• Good knowledge of setting up Tomcat, JBoss and Middleware software on RHEL/ Ubuntu platforms.
• Experience in setting up MySQL Database on RHEL/Ubuntu Platforms.
• Experience in LVM, and other File System.
• Experience in working with blade servers.
• Experience in installing Configuring, Maintaining and Monitoring applications on RHEL/Ubuntu Servers.
• Knowledge of Linux shell scripting and turning of Linux kernel.
• Knowledge of SAN and storage, back-ups. IP networking. Performance analysis and security.
• Tuning is desire.
• RHCE/RHCJA – any of these certifications is mandatory.

Role and responsibilities :

• Installing, configuring, Maintaining and monitoring of RHEL Ubuntu Servers
• Installing, configuring, maintaining and monitoring of JBoss. Tomcat servers.
•  Basic network administration and configuration
• Provide consultancy services to function and customers.
• Ensuring server securing  and monitoring the server logs
• Work with customer infrastructure and fix issues remotely

18-50. Candidates born between 02.01.1967 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ST & Other backward Communities. (In the case of candidates who were family planning voluntary workers, the maximum age shall be 45 years and in the case of Part Time Contingent employees upper age relaxation shall be given to the extent of their Part Time contingent service provided their age does not exceed super annuation limit).

(i) Should have passed standard VII and should not have acquired any Graduation

Note: As per this notification candidates possessing any degree (including Graduation certificate from military service) are ineligible for this post. If applications are submitted contrary to the above direction by suppressing the fact and if he is found selected, his applications will be summarily rejected, his name will be removed from the ranked list and disciplinary action/punishment including removal from service will be taken aganist him at any stage of selection. 

Probation: Every person appointed to a category shall be on probation for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of three years.
